This is the very first post from Zero 3 Computers in our completely custom, completely new blog. We wrote all the code that is used in the blog and I think we did pretty good.
We hope to expand our DiY section by supplying our customers with a in depth comment section for every post and hopefully this will generate a lot more interest in our website and our website designs.
With the release of our new website we will offer many new features including this blog. We had a recent news section, but it lacked something we wanted...our customer input. After designing a blog for Unknown Coordinates we thought that it would be a great idea to design our own. At first the thought of designing a blog seem daunting so we tried some of the more popular blogging software.
We first went with the free Blogspot software, but we didn't really care for the look of the blog. We scraped that idea and moved on with Wordpress, a more designer-friendly blog. At first we like the entire thing, but still it was missing something....our very own touch. Thus, another project was scrapped. We began to look through the software and the databases to see the code in which it was constructed. After a few days of pondering we decided to jump in without a lifevest. To our surprise it was fairly easy to code a database driven blog without resorting to blogging software.
We searched the internet for designer blogs that we could mimick. We found a few and we examined how their site worked and how it was put together. After spending days collecting information about the top designer's sites we began the process of designing our own. We have had previous experience designing a blog, but just a basic level blog. No real special stuff. It was custom, but not as custom as what we need this blog to be.
We coded and coded for days without rest....well, maybe a little rest, but not much until we finally had enough to test on. We tested our work as good as a programmer could (all you programmers know that we make the worst break-testers) until we could not find any errors. After the layout was established we started to get the database content added and finally we created a comment section for users like you.
We are proud to unveil our newest creation....the Zero 3 Computers Blog! Comment away.
